The city of Papillion is located in Sarpy County nestled along the 370 corridor between the cities of Gretna and Bellevue and with quick access to I-80. The cities revitalized downtown area sits in the older historic area in the northern portion of the city. The more southern parts of the city are filled with booming new construction neighborhoods and many commercial developments, making Papillion one of the fastest growing cities in the state. The community is especially known for its proximity to outdoor recreation including fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking, camping, and more. Some of the most notable attractions include: Walnut Creek Recreation Area with 450 acres including a 105-acre reservoir and the Sumtur Amphitheater, Shadow Lake Towne Center, Werner Ballpark located adjacent to Prairie Queen Recreation area and Papio Bay Fun Park and Aquatic Center.
